Trek 1216: Congratulations to our 5 trekkers and our chosen KTL team as they not long ago walked through the Kokoda Archway. Well done everyone, especially as you did not get away until late on the first day due to your backpacks not arriving with you on the flight from Brisbane. Have some relaxation time this afternoon before you fly back tomorrow morning and enjoy some 'Eroro Family' hospitality.

Trek 1216: Clement made contact from 'Banana Camp' to say they were all ok and had spent last night as planned at Ofi Creek. Today they were heading up Maguli Range, continuing through Nauro Village and hoping to reach Manari for the night. He said they were all having a good time and enjoying their trek. At this stage no problems whatsoever with the group of trekkers or our KTL team accompanying them across the Kokoda Trail.

Trek 1216: Picture our KTL group today as they move up along the track. Last night was spent at Goldie River and today the plan is to head to Ofi Creek for the night. The first couple of days its mainly up up up so their fitness will be tested as 4 of them are carrying their own backpacks.

Trek 1216: We are pleased to let you all know that this trek is now underway despite a slow start due to Air Niugini leaving their 3 backpacks in Brisbane yesterday which arrived at 2:50pm this afternoon. As a result, trekkers booked out of their hotel and went to Bomana War Cemetery whilst waiting for their bags to arrive. Then back to the hotel for lunch and a quick repack and they were on their way to Owers' Cnr. I will wait to hear from Clement Harika but due to the late starting time, I suspect they will have a short day down to Goodwater or they may even stop at Goldie River for the night. Best wishes to our trekkers and our KTL team who will accompany them across the Kokoda Trail. Trekkers are: Three siblings, a partner and a mate. Janine, James and Joshua Pearn; Adam Miller and Blair Edelsten.

Our KTL Team are made up as follows: Clement Harika (Guide); Chris Lahai (personal porter) (his first trek since 2018 but a regular prior to then); Gary Juary; Saul Osara; Trophian Ovivi; Kingsley (Kini) Eroro and Gideon (his first time to walk with us) but I have been informed is a cousin of Kini.

Trek 1207: Following their walk off the Kokoda Trail earlier today, the three women have had a relaxing day resting at Clement Harika's block in Saga Village. Annie has even been scraping a coconut which will no doubt be used to prepare their evening meal.

Trek 1207: This trek walked off the Kokoda Trail and under the archway in Kokoda around 8:30am this morning. Well done girls and our KTL crew who walked alongside of them. We trust you enjoyed your walk in a very big park. To Annie, she booked to walk in 2020 then covid hit and borders and flights into and out of PNG were closed. She has now achieved her dream that has been a long time coming. To our two trekkers who I am led to believe were born in Hungary, we thank you for coming to walk with us as you are the very first from your country to do so. Have a top day in Kokoda and have a well earned rest before you depart for your drive to the airport tomorrow morning.
