https://www.linkedin.com/company/cambray-consulting We provide traffic engineering and transport planning services.

Cambray Consulting Pty Ltd services the development industry, local government, and state government agencies. We pride ourselves on our client focus, our holistic approach, and our ability to devise innovative solutions. We can make a positive difference to help you meet your project objectives. We will challenge the boundaries of what is possible whilst ensuring our paramount responsibility is t

o the safe and efficient transport of people and goods. Our approach to innovation has earned us much respect. Our team has in excess of 40 years combined experience in supporting the property development industry. We provide strategic and detailed traffic advice which assists in achieving desired outcomes for our clients. We believe the work of a good traffic engineer should barely be noticed, such as at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Or if it is noticed, it should contribute strongly to a positive overall experience, such as in the Millennium Arts Precinct or the Southbank TAFE Redevelopment. We believe a good traffic engineer can assist in maximising development yield, safety, and functionality, whilst minimising construction and operating costs. This is one of our key objectives on projects. We can also advise means to assist in reducing approvals timeframes on traffic and transport-related aspects. In the event of a dispute, we can assist in negotiating ’win-win’ outcomes, and if necessary, provide expert witness services. In essence, involving us early during the planning stages of your development, rather than simply engaging us to prepare a Traffic Impact Assessment Report, will assist us to add the most value to your project.

On Saturday night we all went out to Byblos to celebrate Xmas but more importantly, Cambray Consulting’s 15th Birthday !!
Such an achievement when you think we started in the middle of the global financial crisis of 2008.

Thanks to Vancy for making the beautiful and tasty birthday cake.

A big congratulations to Director and founder, Andrew Douglas.

Last time I was in Melbourne I was amazed at the new addition at the traffic lights..
LED tactile pavers that are linked with the traditional upright pedestrian lights.
These are for the masses never looking up from phone screens, to decrease pedestrian accidents.
What are your thoughts, do we need them in Brisbane?

Might need to hurry things up for the residents sake!

Be careful in cane growing regions folks!

🚂💨 Have you seen the cane trains in action yet?

⚠️ Cane Crushing season is underway in Mackay which means cane trains are operating across our region. Throughout the off-season, you may have been accustomed to the inactive crossings. However, these crossings are now busy thoroughfares as cane trains transport crops to the mill.
It is important to spread awareness to the community to be CANE TRAIN AWARE. Please share this information and help educate families and children to stay safe and avoid accidents this cane season.

Be patient on the roads and familiarise yourself with cane train crossing and 🚦 road signs
Keep an eye out for flashing lights at level crossings on major roads
Not ALL Crossing have flashing lights, drive safely and follow all road signs 🛑
Keep an eye on the kids and educate our children to stay away from cane rail tracks
If you see an oncoming train ✋ STOP - do not speed up or try to beat the train across
Be alert, stay safe and spread awareness

Please take care this crushing season 💚

Another project that Cambray are proud to have worked on.

The refurbishment of Lady Lamington Nursing Home is part of the 5.4ha, $1.1-billion Herston Quarter development being undertaken by Australian Unity.

And later this week, Herston Quarter’s development director Richard McLachlan will tell The Urban Developer’s PBSA vSummit some of the unique challenges involved in taking a run-down, 126-year-old heritage-listed building and turning it into state-of-the-art student accommodation.

“One of the fundamental requirements of our development agreement with the landowner, Metro North Health, is that these buildings would be retained and re-purposed,” McLachlan said.

Find out more about Herston Quarter here: https://bit.ly/3yxopDs

We are all finally back working from the office after our long awaited renovations.
Some really clever design tricks and the best Builder/Cabinet maker ever, Thanks Keith,🙏
has seen us create more space than we have ever had.
We are now taking advantage of the great views!
Custom built, hidden stationary cupboards, new separate kitchen and a much needed meeting room.
Some planting and pots out on the balcony, to create a relaxing space to rest or chat.

Looking forward to our Office Warming Party next month.
Stay tuned.

Cambray Consulting is proud to be involved in this important project.

Cambray Consulting is proud to be involved in this important project.

In 2015, our government faced a decision: what to do with the site of the former Royal Children’s Hospital.

The previous government had plans to sell it off for development or build a five-star hotel on the land.

When we were elected, we promised to always look after Queenslanders, and to invest in our hospitals and health staff.

Just over two years ago we turned the sod on Queensland’s newest hospital: the 182-bed Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).

Today, surgeries are underway and patients are undergoing rehabilitation in our state’s first ever ‘digital ready’ hospital.

Seeing this addition to Queensland’s health network is something very close to our hearts.

We’re proud to have kept this site in public hands.

We’re even more proud to have built a modern hospital facility that will treat thousands more patients every year, and employ hundreds of healthcare staff including nurses, doctors, and allied health staff.

Because there’s nothing more important than keeping Queenslanders safe and in jobs.
