The benefits of a small group tour are worth the extra cost! When on a tour, I like to ask lots of questions and understand what I am seeing and doing.

Pictured here is our small group tour - very intimate and everyone is engaged. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions and advice. In the second image you can see a large group tour with people straying from the group, unable to see or hear the guide and many looking uninterested. In a group like this it can be intimidating to ask questions and engage.

Split amongst a family or a group of friends, a private small group tour can often work out to be the same price as a large group, but a completely different experience. I know which option I’d prefer, how about you??

Travelling this festive season?! It’s going to be a busy one!

To ensure you are fully prepared for your trip, here are my four 'P's for a successful holiday:

PLAN AHEAD - Checking in online, selecting your seats, and preparing your vaccination documents can help for a seamless experience at the airport. As much as we all hate to hear it, flights are overbooked, and airlines do bump travellers. The best wait to avoid this is to pre-select your seats and check in online prior to travel.

PATIENCE - Travel as an industry is still recovering from Covid. Airports are understaffed, airlines are running at a lower capacity and call centres are inundated with callers. All of this means there will be delays so be prepared to wait.

PREPARE - If a visa or vaccination certificate is required, please make sure you apply for this ahead of time and ensure you receive an APPROVED authorisation, not just a pending application.

Beautiful Sanur - night and day! In September I had the chance to visit bali again, but this time I strayed from Seminyak and stayed in Sanur.

Sanur is on the eastern coast of the island of Bali and has a more laid back vibe with amazing restaurants right on the beach front.

I would highly recommend visiting Sanur if you have not been before.

I popped over to Bali last week for a long awaited holiday. Originally booked for March 2020, but cancelled due to the corona virus…little did I know it would be so long before we could rebook. Two and a half years later, it was great to get back and see how things are travelling.

It was great to see some of my favourite shops and restaurants have reopened their doors. Sadly, some have not and you can’t help but feel for the families who are affected by this.

Much like the rest of the world, hotels and restaurants are going through a reopening phase. There are limited staff and most are still learning. It’s so important to be patient and grateful that we have the opportunity to travel again. Things are not going to bounce back overnight, but the best thing we can do it visit and spend money locally.

I want you all to be so excited to travel again, but also to keep in mind that it will take some time to rebuild. Be patient, be kind and be open minded. Rome wasn’t built in a day 🇮🇹 🍕
