Some of us are concerned about the proposed NSW Tax on holiday rentals.
Many hosts pay Land Tax, we all pay tax on rental returns, we pay council rates which includes GST and GST is charged on rentals.
To include yet another tax is over the top on the holidaying and travelling public when most of these charges are passed on to the holidaying rental tariff.
The Minister for Housing has a discussion paper that is open for public comment on their web site.
I urge all of us that have properties on holiday letting as well as the travelling and holidaying public to lodge their opinions in the public submission comments to try and stop this extra tax on the travellers who use our holiday rentals

We are seeking feedback on the planning policy and regulatory framework for short-term rental accommodation and on options to encourage the supply of long-term rental accommodation.

Covid has given those outside of the affected lock down areas of Sydney and surrounds an opportunity to book a holiday house break away.
Whale watching season is in full swing and Ameroo Cruises in Forster (only 15 min from Boomerang Beach) are accepting the $25 Discovery vouches so it's the perfect time.
