McCabe Farm is a small family run farm that opens the gate to all wishing to gain a little insight into how food is grown in the wheatbelt of WA, with a long history of sharing our farm with the public and providing somewhere that you can either star gaze and just listen to the birds or see first hand sheep work and daily farm jobs, depending on the time of year you will see different things happe

Ever wanted to see a sheep being sheared?
Have a go at sorting wool of even lean on a broom? Now’s your chance, Feel free to drop in. From Friday till Monday we will have a team of shears and a rousey coming.
Tiny home is already booked out, have some camping options if you’re interested in staying the night.

There are some helmets that I don’t want to wear either. As the farm drys up we get to marvel at the amazing views of the stars with very little light pollution, not even any fires.

Farmers tell how old a sheep is by looking at the sheep’s teeth, getting some ready for sale over the weekend, picture on the Left shows a Lambs age picture on the Right is considered a Hogget ( 11 to 24 months old )

Starting to dry out a little across the farm, but down by the creek it’s always nice and green, that’s why we have put our beautiful little tiny home where it’s always nice.
