Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park is an alpine wonderland with walks for everyone.

Hardcore hikers can test themselves on one of Australia’s renowned multi-day walks – the spectacular 65km Overland Track. Or those seeking a shorter, faster adventure can tackle the steep 19km Mount Rufus circuit in around 7hrs.

Less avid trekkers can appreciate this national park’s distinctive scenery on easier ambles – such as the 1.1km Enchanted Walk. Take this 20min stroll along a zigzagging boardwalk through a moody, mossy forest. Hugging the peaceful Pencil Pine Creek, this trail hosts grazing wombats and vivid seasonal fungi.
