A very productive day having Rick Sta clean up the garden bed in preparation for a slab and so that our neighbours can lay their slab in the coming weeks. I would highly recommend Rick if you need any little jobs done with his Kobota and truck. And a little painting to be done to make the fence look a little better for now..more to come here at SandNSea. And again a big thanks to Rick even the neighbours commented how good a job he did..💪

Excitng Announcement, we will be taking over the Management of our property from the end of January 2025, all booking up until this time will still be managed by the current managers. For any bookings after January 2025 I'm sure you will be contacted regarding these, however if you wish to rebook with us we will be live in February or you can send us an email if you wish to enquire about making booking with us. There will be changes to our booking structure, all linen and towels will be supplied and other items that we are looking to bring in to make your stay more comfortable.

If you happen to be taking a drive to Maryborough check this out.

This mural is also on the Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum here in Maryborough Qld. The artist was Patrick Phillips. Australia's largest single day casualty list of the Vietnam War happened at the battle of Long Tan when 108 soldiers of Delta Company 6RAR came up against North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong Regulars in a rubber plantation on the afternoon of the 18th August 1966. Outnumbered 20 to 1, the Australian soldiers were saved from being overrun by artillery support and the crews of 2 helicopters from Nui Dat, who braved poor conditions to drop ammunition. My husband Reg was a medic during this fight. 18 Australians were killed and 24 wounded. The mural features a number of men who fought in the battle, including Hervey Bay's Corporal Buddy Lea and company commander, Major Harry Smith, who later settled here.
