A very important notice to take note of whilst visiting the South West. No fires!

We've been saving this pic for a while. Waiting for an important message. It's Brett Trunfull looking a bit like Fireman Santa ahead of the Christmas period 😉.

Here we go - We have entered the Prohibited Burning Period for the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and will remain in place until 14 March 2025 unless advised otherwise.

This means:

* Burning is NOT allowed at any time.
* Campfires and firepits are NOT allowed at any time.
* Burning of garden refuse piles is NOT allowed at any time.
* Solid fuel BBQs, including Pizza Ovens, are NOT allowed at any time.
* All current Permits to Burn are CANCELLED.

Had a wonderful full day tour yesterday for two lovely ladies. The weather was perfect, we saw lots of red tail black cockatoos, plenty of coffees and discovered new places. Our tour included:

🌳 Lake Cave & Boranup Forest
🥘 Glenarty Road, Every Acre 5 course paddock to plate feast
🍷Whicher Ridge Pick & Sip wine tasting

It’s such a wonderful and relaxed way to explore our diverse region.

The newest food and wine festival in Margaret River certainly did not fail to impress! Natures Table lunch in the forest was like walking through the wardrobe into a new magical world, filled with towering trees, larger than life wine glasses brimming with wines from the Margaret River Region, and food which was not only a feast for the eyes, but a harmonious symphony in the stomach. Three incredible chefs with an army of enthusiastic workers, made it run so smoothly. Cruise ship shore excursions - had a great time taking these ladies on a tour earlier this year. Although they had their sea legs they were ready for some walking and tasting.

Providore Margaret River is a beautiful example of Agritourism as well as being the biggest farm shop. We get to taste, walk, enjoy a farm drive and enjoy delicious scones here whilst on tour - one of my favourite places in the Margaret River Region.
