📍Favourite place: I spend a lot of time between Byron and Newcastle (the Aussie Newcastle)…this section of the East Coast is beautiful. Loads of beaches, waterfalls and of course camp spots to stay at along the way. If you pick up a camper from Sydney want to do the drive North to Brisbane - hit me up and I'll give you some amazing places to stop off at along the way!

🌏 Where’s home: Originally I'm from the UK but in the last few years I've pitched up in Byron! Wow what a spot! I'm always down at Main Beach, or taking the dog for a stroll at sun set...on a Friday you might find me in the Northern (one of a few good pubs in town).

🚌 Travel tip:
Book your camper before booking flights! Its the biggest mistake people make setting their dates by booking a flight and then enquiring about a camper... there are way more flights than there are campers available so having the flexibility to book your camper first means you SAVE $ as you can remain flexible!

Q: How long should I spend sailing the Whitsundays? 👇

If you aren’t blessed with a lot of time then the one-day tours are a great option. On a one-day trip, you will see Hill Inlet and Whitehaven beach and have some time to snorkel some of the amazing reefs around the islands.

Our preferred duration if you have the time is a 2 day 2 night tour. The Whitsundays is made up of 74 tropical islands so the multi-day trips allow you to sail in the day and sleep under the stars by night. This is our preferred option when it comes to exploring the islands to the maximum.

Meet Sammy > The RatPack Story

I’ve been bounding around Australia & NZ since 2011 {time flies when ya cruising}, my more than extensive Roadie around Australia covered over 25,913 Km. I road tripped the full loop from Byron to Sydney {the opposite way around - you’ll know what i mean when you check out the map below} and also winged it in New Zealand for 2 years cruising around both the North and South islands with my Bruv-Ski {Jakey AKA the Camper King}...

From breaking my back picking zucchinis {93 days on a farm - you’ll know what I mean when you do it} to dropping numerous plates as a waiter and ‘blagging’ my way into construction jobs, I found myself a dream job working in travel. It was finally a chance to give people all of the knowledge that I had discovered along the way.

At first I was lovin’ life offering tours & transport to backpackers that were needing help. However I soon realised that the after service support that the customers received & product quality didn’t quite match my personal customer service.

My experience of working for a corporate company began to stop my love for travel, no morals no ethics & poor customer service - my original idea was to set up a backpacker website designed to give first time travellers the tips and tricks that nobody else wanted to share about the industry.
