The Solomon Islands, a close neighbour to Australia, is a treasure trove of traditional music and song. Currently touring the east coast of Australia, percussionist and singer, Natty Dolaiasi is a culture keeper. He brings the traditional music of his own island, but he is also dedicated to learning and teaching the music of other parts of The Solomons. Now based in Honiara, he dedicates his time to sharing the customary songs from across The Solomons with young people.

In this rare opportunity, percussionist and singer, Natty Dolaiasi will join Charles Maimarosia on stage with special guests Jimi Nare and Ron Reeves.

Charles Maimarosia is an extraordinary musician from the island of Malaita, who has made Melbourne his home. Charles is a multi-instrumentalist, playing Western instruments as well as the traditional pan-flutes which characterise the Are’are’ music of Malaita.
