Welcome to winter, Palm Cove style
Come Join Us tomorrow morning at Palm Cove beach to welcome Channel 9's Today show for the weather crosses.
Starting from 5:40am for the first weather cross to the last one at 8:36am.
There will be a range of things happening, starting with Promoting fishing on the Jetty, Cairns Surf Club Palm Cove celebrating 100 years, and Biked showcasing their great product, especially with the first part of the Wangetti Trail opening soon to Nunu and Numi showcasing what amazing restaurants we have in our Paradise called Palm Cove.
Let's come together to support our local area and demonstrate why this beach is the best in the world and the jewel of the Cairns region.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Double Island is back in public hands and a bright new future for the island is being planned. Thank you to the people who fought to make it happen for us all Craig Crawford MP and Michael Healy MP. 👏👏
It will be a public space in time, but at the moment it's a dangerous place. It is full of broken glass, sharp objects and many falling coconuts and branches.
Please do not go into the island until its declared safe. We have waited years to have it back, so a few more months wont hurt.

How did our stunning palms get here?
Archdeacon Campbell is the man thought to be responsible for planting these palm trees, as he was known to have an interest in crop and soil production and management. Just prior to World War One, in 1918, Albert Veivers purchased the town from Archdeacon Campbell.

Markets are held on the first Sunday of each month (except in September), from 8am-2pm, you’ll find the Markets on Williams Esplanade 🌴 2. Beach backed by the esplanade with palm trees and cafes, popular for swimming and fishing on the jetty. Just make sure to swim in the protected area 🐊 3. Kayak over to the coral reefs around Double Island and Haycock Island (Scouts Hat) and check out all the wildlife.
