The Eastern Kuku Yalanji (a.k.a. The "Rainforest People") have a special connection to the Daintree Rainforest. It's CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY! The Small World team rolled up our sleeves to clean rubbish out of our precious mangroves...nurseries for our baby creatures that eventually live at the Great Barrier Reef. All up, we collected 12.42 KILOS of landfill rubbish and a quarter of a kilo of empty plastic bottles. Consider making a little effort today to make our community cleaner! <3 #cleaningupcairns #communitysupport #fnqliving #ttnq
While the girls of the Canberra Girls Grammar school were doing a clean up for a community service project, there was an extraordinary croc sighting!
A big thank you to Mark Olsen, CEO of Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) who spoke to one of our student groups studying tourism about how their marketing has changed since COVID.
