Our Story
With over 18 years experience of introducing Cuban culture to Australians and some other parts of the world, Christina Monneron is a passionate teacher of Cuban spirituality & folklore through dance & song. LET Christina take you on a 'locals' tour of Cuba to experience first hand the culture of Cuba via dance and music, while not missing out on some of the must see attractions. Come and join us and let the rhythm move you....... SING DANCE DRUM CUBA SAMPLE ITINERARY Days 1-2 Arrival, Acculturation at the beach near Havana and classes Days 3-7 Havana, Sing/Dance/Drum classes, shows and walking tours Days 8-11 Road trip to Santiago de Cuba via Trinidad de Cuba & Camaguey Days 12-15 Santiago Sing/Dance/Drum classes Days 15-17 Return to Havana via Domestic flight, last classes & Farewell parties Transit/flight info We recommend from Australia traveling Air Canada from Brisbane-Vancouver-Toronto-Havana as it’s by far the smoothest way to land in Havana the same night. We are happy to help you with suggesting other flight itineraries Free Time explained. We have allowed some FREE TIME on the itinerary for you to either explore by yourself or make suggestions to us what you would like to do and if there are a few others interested, it may warrant a group excursion. We are very open to giving you the best experience in Cuba and so would love you to express what you would like to see that is not already included on the itinerary. Accommodation All accommodation in Cuba will be in “Casas Particulares”. We know these as B&Bs. All are single rooms with double or single bed and ensuite bathroom, some have 2 rooms in one house. Meals - breakfast at your own Casa, lunch after classes as group to a café or equivalent or dinners your own choice of cafe or restaurant (some dinners replace lunch) Trinidad options As Trinidad is a beautiful colonial town, there is a lot to explore on foot in the town itself, like artisanal shops & market stalls, museums, music cafes, ruins, churches etc. The Caribbean Sea is a 15min drive and we can decide to go to the beach as a group or arrange transport at a small fee per person. We will attend a folkloric dance and music show one evening and have a chance to be part of the magical Trinidadian nightlife where the streets come to life. Lucumi explained If you want more information about Cuban Santeria/ Lucumi please contact Christina who is an initiated priestess or Santera.
