Learning to drive with My Pathway ParentsNext
Zoe is a young parent who dreamed of being able to drive. It’s a goal that many might take for granted, but for those without, it can be a big hurdle.
Inspired to reclaim some of her independence, and with the help of her My Pathway ParentsNext consultant, Zoe was placed with a Driving Mentor, Stuart. After less than a year of free lessons, she was ready for the road.
“It’s just a lot easier to get to appointments, doing my shopping, and things I need to do. My daughter and I can go out to the park now, and we couldn’t do that before.”
ParentsNext Manager Alaynah said getting a licence was one of the varied reasons that young parents come to My Pathway.
“The response that we see in our participants who have achieved their licence is generally that of momentum. They have achieved this huge milestone; what else can they do? It’s what drives them on into their next goals.”
See how the ParentsNext program can support you to achieve your goals today!

Jobs Connect with My Pathway
The first “Jobs Connect” program in Western Cape has successfully graduated its first three participants.
Napranum’s Renita Asera, Latonia Ara and Ina Savo undertook six weeks of training to grow their foundation skills, develop their confidence and connect to community supports that will aid their future employment pathways.
Testament to the success of the program was the fact that just before graduation both Renita and Latonia were willing to undertake interviews on camera about the program and how they felt it had helped them.

The Doomadgee community has kicked up some dust and celebrated the 2022 rodeo. 2 days, 10 categories, 12 community sponsors and 1,200 spectators made one amazing event.
Community members helped to attract participation and prepare the grounds, before enjoying some well-deserved entertainment throughout the rodeo schedule.
Organisers hope to build on this year's success together with community partners for the future.
The Rodeo Committee was supported by Ngooderi - a joint venture partnership between My Pathway and Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council and generous sponsors:
Gangalidda & Garawa Native Title Aboriginal Corporation, Clemments Electrical, Christopher Contracting, Community Enterprise Queensland, Waanyi Joint Venture, Jason English Builders, BDS mechanical, Hell's Gate Roadhouse, Ergon Energy Retail, Data Central, Tim Wilson Carpentry, Rex Airlines.

Today we celebrate Wear it Purple day, not only to be part of a movement that has the potential to save thousands of lives, but also to remind our people and our audience of the importance of continuing to be part of this change throughout the year.
Our Director, Dr Scott Davis, put this short video together to highlight the day and how My Pathway aligns with the 2022 theme of "Still me, Still human." We are built on relationships with our staff, our clients, our partners and the communities where we work. We are proud to build these relationships with people from all walks of life, no matter who or where they are.
So today, and all days, lets look beyond the labels, and think, speak and relate to all others as humans, enriching our lives and helping us to create a positive impact.

The Ngooderi Aquaponics project has taken a huge leap forwards recently with a flourishing crop of green leafy vegetables growing amazingly right now.
More than 500 jungle perch fingerlings are being raised in tanks, and their water is circulated through raised beds in the greenhouse to nourish the vegetables.
Other plantings are being trialled and have already been able to share some of the produce with visitors. We cant wait to see this project continue to grow.
