Our Story
My Spirit is a 35 m Wavepiecer built in New Zealand, launched in 2005 when she received Super Yacht Design of the Year award. Spirit was refitted in 2016 in her home port Cairns. She is an adventure yacht capable of taking you places far off the beaten track where you can immerse yourself safely in all the activities she has to offer. Stationed in the Pacific Ocean, Spirit is enviably spacious and stable, optimum in extravagance, relaxation, and fun. Martin and Joanna Debanks, a Captain and Chef team have been in the yachting industry for over 25 years and their love for the ocean is evident in all they do. Along with their professional hand picked crew they are passionate about water sports and easily cater the most discerning and adventurous guests, whilst still providing the luxury and service expected.
When you charter My Spirit you open a world of options, from Scuba Diving, snorkelling, Paddle boarding, Kite Surfing, hiking to relaxing in the privacy of your own yacht, watching the sun go down or relaxing with a book. The choice is yours....
Though based in Cairns, Queensland we offer trips up and down the East coast to The Whitsundays or North to the beautiful remote south Pacific Islands, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
