It was a pleasure to work with the inspiring students of Peace Lutheran College at our Smart Green Economy STUDENT conference.

A huge thank you to their heartfelt acknowledgement to country.

A massive thank you to all the teachers who accompanied their students on the program. It was an intense few days!

Ravenshoe changed lives week with their sponsorship with EarthCheck for these boys to attend this conference.

We got to interview them to talk about their Life On The Land from a First Nations POV.

This got excited because this SDG was made for First Nation storytelling and songlines work and these Year 8 & 9's highlighted something that should have been so obvious.

Their teacher told us they were buzzing with ideas on their way home on Friday afternoon, that conversation made the last 3 months of hard work to make this conference a success worth it.

Mossman State High was sponsored by EarthCheck and and these kids didn't waste a minute.

Their concern about single use vapes was their pitch to get sponsorship and it got us all thinking about how this product was able to scale to the size it has without anyone noticing the impact it has on the oceans and landfill.

Next week we have 100+ kids coming from 14 regional schools and one international home school family, who are interested in STEM, entrepreneurial - monetising waste, and Circular Economy opportunities in education to our 2 day immersive to learn how to be part of the change.

WHILE still at school!

We are so invested in kids because it is their future and planet and they deserve to have a say in how it is designed and built.

Our student conference will include a range of workshops including building hydrogen fuel celled cars! This video was from a recent group of 14 schools from Japan through Board of Education who asked us to specifically create a similar program based around renewable, circular economy and sustainability. We were excited to collaborate with Cairns State High School students on this project!

We love sharing our passion for the Great Barrier Reef, sustainability and everything turtles 🐢, with our International guests.

Last month our MD personally escorted guests from Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education to Fitzroy to encourage them to learn about the great work being done by organisations such as Reef Restoration Foundation and the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre and how their students can be a part of our 'get better' vision.

Happy Save The Koala Day!! 🐨

Today is a day to show your love towards koalas! Save The Koala Day is organised by Australian Koala Foundation each year on the 30th September.
Our international guests love to see koalas when they visit Australia and today is the day to raise awareness to prevent them from being extinct. Let’s show love and help save the koala’s natural habitats!

Whilst borders are open, many students are still not travelling so it’s been great to showcase and Far North Queensland to our internationals virtually! 🥰

Over the last 2 months, we have delivered over 70 virtual sessions and brought QLD to the classrooms and the homes of hundreds of students. Last week it was a highlight to host our sister city school Tokushima Minami. Amongst many other experiences, they were taken behind the scenes with Jennie Gilbert at JCU: James Cook University, Australia Research Aquarium and into the rainforest of onto a Farmstay where they met a local family and the local animal life. Stay tuned for our next virtual! 🤩
