HEADS UP! Double demerit points will be implemented in NSW and ACT for a duration of 13 days during the Christmas and New Year holiday season to improve road safety.

This enforcement will take place from Friday, 20 December 2024, to Wednesday, 1 January 2025, inclusive, applying to all violations related to speeding, seatbelt use, motorcycle helmets, and mobile phone usage.

So, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to travel, obey speed limits, drive according to the road conditions, wear your seatbelt, minimise distractions, and make sure you're well rested. If you have consumed alcohol or drugs, please refrain from driving.
