The East Gungahlin High School Road Infrastructure project helped create safer, more efficient roadways for the community while integrating sustainable construction practices.

The project was delivered within the project schedule, despite significant inclement weather delays and additional works transferred from the school construction contract. This project was delivered under a GC21 contract.

Ngamawarri takes shape!

π—–π—’π— π—£π—Ÿπ—˜π—« is proud of our work to help create the Ngunnawal-themed public park at the Acton Waterfront.

Our work on the park's stormwater infrastructure and foundations is almost complete, and plantings will begin in mid-January.

The space will be open in stages, beginning with the interim park in 2025.

The permanent park will be completed in 2028 and will feature artwork, green spaces, and two pavilions.

π—–π—’π— π—£π—Ÿπ—˜π—«'𝗦 Siding Springs Access Road Rehabilitation project ensured secure access to Australia's largest optical observatory.

The works involved significant cutting in high strength basalt bedrock materials adjacent to steep batters.

Large trees were cleared to construct the gabion retaining wall with strict environmental considerations within the National Park. A guardrail was then installed, the road widened, and the pavement was reconstructed.

Works allowed traffic access outside of working hours and in the event of an emergency. COMPLEX completed the work ahead schedule and without any safety, environmental or quality incidents.

The John Gorton Building Carpark upgrade exemplifies π—–π—’π— π—£π—Ÿπ—˜π—«'𝗦 ability to balance innovation and heritage preservation.

Located in Parkes, ACT, the 1956 building accommodated staff from two Government Departments. It has recently received significant restoration upgrades to preserve its heritage values.

Construction featured; carbon fibre strengthening, concrete capped β€œWolfin” waterproof membrane installation, granite segmental paving, exposed aggregate paving with inlaid corten steel, LED lighting, bespoke timber/concrete street furnishings, stormwater harvesting tree pits and significant landscape plantings.

The works were completed without any major safety, environmental or quality issues and the project was a finalist in the 2018 CCF and MBA awards.

The result?
A state-of-the-art carpark that blends seamlessly into its historical surroundings, ensuring long-term functionality and safety.

π—–π—’π— π—£π—Ÿπ—˜π—« approached this construction project with an acute awareness of environmental considerations. Throughout the project, stringent dust suppression measures were maintained and erosion minimised. We ensured that native wildlife was unharmed, and also created habitat for an endangered species.

This award-winning project showcases our commitment to blending cultural preservation with sustainability, whilst also completing essential construction projects.

This year Master Builders Association ACT launched the John Haskins AM Memorial award. This award acknowledges an individual who has shown exceptional leadership qualities and significant contribution to not only the ACT building and construction industry, but the community at large. John, known fondly as Grandad to the Complex Team, is the patriarch of the Haskins Family.
