Through our OsteoKids Academy we are starting to amass a community of paediatric osteopaths from all over the world. 🌎 A Russian study on Developmental Hip Dysplasia (DHD) was recently sent through that we found particularly interesting – so we’ve decided to share it here!

DHD occurs when an infant’s hip socket does not fully develop, which, if not managed early, may contribute to long-term mobility challenges.

Conventional treatment often includes bracing to help position the hip, while osteopathy takes a broader approach - focusing on the whole body by addressing imbalances in the pelvis, spine, and surrounding tissues to support mobility and overall development.

This study offers valuable insights into the potential role of osteopathy in DHD management.
