This is one of our most recent tiling jobs on a coastal house in South Durras. These beautiful destressed timber tiles opened the whole room, making it larger and lighter. And unlike real timber, these tiles won’t scratch or show signs of wear and tear over the years. However they actually feel like timber when you touch them, grooves and all. The house was built from coppers logs so the floor level was sub-standard and out by up to 35mm in some places. Our PTS tilers had quite a lot of preparation work to do, with levelling using Davco Lanko products but the end result was sensational. Warmtech Canberra installed under-floor heating (the South Coast can be quite cold in winter!). Congratulations to our fourth year apprentice, Brent Camilleri, who has won the 2015 ACT CITC Award for Outstanding Apprentice in Wall & Floor Tiling. These awards are conducted by the Construction Industry Training Council (CITC) and recognise outstanding achievement and effort from local graduating apprentices. Brent was nominated for this award by Martin Stallard from the CIT.
