Increase the sleeping capacity of our most popular apartment from 4 to 6 guests. A trip to IKEA to get a flat pack queen sized sofa bed.

We are happy to announce that we will soon be opening apartment number six.
This is a spacious 2-bedroom apartment that will sleep 4 guests in two queen beds. We plan on adding a sofa bed in the living room so we can sleep 6 if required.

The photos shown here may look a little bare, and we will update the photos as we complete the fit out.

We expect to have this apartment ready for guests within two weeks.

When you operate a short stay accommodation business, you are never sure what you will see when you open the door after the guest checks out.
This one blew me away. I did not expect to see such an example of professional bed making.
I messaged the guest and asked her if she was in hospitality and she replied "no that was my daughter"
I think said daughter will be a valuable asset to any future employer.

Tonight we hosted our first guest in Apartment 7. This is the latest apartment to be added to our group which brings us to 5 apartments with a total guest capacity of 29.

Apartment 11 is finally ready.
Our latest two bedroom apartment sleeps 8 in two massive bedrooms with two queen sized beds in each bedroom.
The upstairs bedroom even has a 5 seater lounge in addition to the two queen sized beds and there is still ample space to move around.

This week we oficially opened the door to apartment #8, our latest addition to the Tuggeranong Short Stay group.
Apartment #8 is a compact two bedroom apartment that sleeps three guests.
It is already proving vey popular, with a total of 26 nights booked.

Our latest addition, apartment 8 is now accepting bookings.
It was added to the group at 3 AM yesterday with an opening special of $1,000.00 for a 7 day booking. Two weeks have already been booked and we have 2 weekly deals still available. With easter on the horizon, I expect this apartment to be soon fully booked for April. I you want to take advantage of this special deal, send me a message.

The seed for Tuggeranong Short Stay Apartments, was first planted during a conversation with a friend on the evening of January 18, 2022.
Some of my "advisors" doubted there would be enough demand for short stay accommodation in Tuggeranong to make it a viable business.

If the amount of linen that is waiting for me to wash and iron is any I indication, then yes there is a demand.

Add to the pile of linen, the fact that in the last 48 hours we have received bookings for 23 nights accommodation at Tuggeranong Short Stay, and I think any doubts about demand, become mute.

Hurry home Phatchy I need you to help manage this demand. The good news is that we are starting to get longer stays, so I don't need to iron sheets for every bed every day.

While Phatchy is holidaying in Thailand, I have been washing, ironing and cleaning between guests. We don't normally iron our own sheets, but for the guests at Tuggeranong Short Stay, we do.
I think I have ironed more sheets in the last 4 weeks than I have done in my previous 70 years. In fact I am sure of it!

Today is a perfect day to see our solar powered dryer in action.
Every apartment at Tuggeranong Short Stay comes equipped with a solar powered dryer.
When you are washing and drying for up to 12 guests a day, it really is an energy saver.

Some very long days this week getting our next apartment ready for the first guest on Saturday night. We weren't planning on having it ready untill April, but due to a double booking on apartment 9, I had to bring it forward.
For the first guest, it will require just one queen size bed in the lower bedroom. Once it is fully furnished, this spacious 2 bedroom apartment will sleep ten guests with two queen size beds downstairs and three queen size beds upstairs.

I will post more photos tomorrow.

Phatchy has just finished setting up apartment number 10 for our 6 guests arriving this weekend.

As this huge bedroom is big enough to take 3 queen size beds, we will soon make further changes to set it up to sleep 8 guests.
