Farewelling ClubMulwala (RSL) today on the road back home🚍

Our group has spent the last few days learning about the pioneering history at Byramine Homestead and Brewery and the Jindera Pioneer Museum 🧑‍🌾

A Quirky visit to Cactus Country in Strathmerton 🌵🌵Australia’s largest Cactus Garden and the The Big Strawberry in Koonoomoo 🍓

At the Museum of Vehicle Evolution - MOVE in Shepparton we had fun counting painted cows and telling ‘Furphy’s’🐮 🎨.

Ticked off a couple more silos on the Victoria Silo Art Trail 🌾

🚍💙💛Mulwala and the Murray Tour 🚍💙💛

Day1: Making our way through the Riverina Region with a delightful stop in The Lockhart Cafe Restaurant. A little town with lots of charm and the most interesting Lockhart's Greens Gunyah Museum and Gallery featuring the wool art of Doris Golder. Arriving in Mulwala our home for the next 4 nights.

Day 2: Ann and Alexander Sloan shared with us their rich family history at Savernake Station. Lunch at the Corowa Distilling Co. topped off by a wine tasting at Campbell's Winery, Rutherglen.

What a week we spent in Lord Howe Island, such a stunning place! Blessed with beautiful weather all week and an amazing group of people. ☀️

We explored all aspects of the island by boat and on land. On Thursday, we went out on an Environmental Tour to view the coral reef. Which is the southernmost on the planet, some were given the opportunity to go snorkel to get up close and personal with all kinds of fish and coral. 🐠

Friday was spent looking for turtles through a glass bottom boat and exploring the North Bay of Lord Howe, where Mt Eliza is situated. Some chose to walk up to Mt Eliza and some chose to walk to out to the Old Gulch. Heading back to the island we met Anthony who gave us some information on all kinds of special and rare birds that call the island home.🪿

Saturday we viewed some of the stunning lookouts on the island and learning all kinds of history again with the very knowledgeable Peter! We got to see the boat that comes every fortnight to stock up the island of all its requirements. 🛳️

We had an incredible experience spending time on this very special island🌴🌊

Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre is a serene and beautiful place enjoyed by our group today. Blessed with a sunny Autumn day and a great group of passengers. With a morning tea stop in Boorowa and a little sighting in Cowra to ring the Australian peace bell and visit the Cowra war cemetery and memorial.

Live from Lord Howe Island, what an incredible place with such a great bunch of people!

We have been blessed with the most stunning weather so far☀️

We’ve spent our time seeing the island via an around the island tour by boat and a tour on land with very knowledgeable Peter, who explained the history of the island to us. We went for a walk through the Kentia Palms whilst learning about all sorts of different bits and pieces in nature on the island.

We look forward to the next few days! 🌴🌊

Our wonderful group had the opportunity to explore this fascinating walk through history, at the Australian Museum in Sydney today.

The greatest collection of Ramses II objects and Egyptian jewelry ever to travel around the world 🤩. 181 priceless authentic Egyptian artifacts, a stunningly preserved collection of pieces including sarcophagi, animal mummies, magnificent jewelry, spectacular royal masks, exquisite amulets, and ornate golden treasures from numerous pharaonic tombs.
