💲💲 The federal government is expected to introduce legisaltion that would make it compulsary for businesses to accept cash payments for essential items like groceries and fuel.

It's proposed that the mandate will be in place by 2026, but there will be exemptions for small businesses.

Currently, businesses can be 'cash free' if they offer an alternate fee-free payment option.
