Make a splash this summer at Lake Moogerah! 🌞With boating, skiing, tubing, fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming just minutes from Moogie House, your family (and furry friends 🐾) will have endless fun on the water.
Enjoy activities on the water, splash in the shallows, or enjoy a lakeside picnic. 🐢Play "spot-o" with the long necked turtles at the dam wall.
🎖Did you know kids who spend more time outdoors score better in school and sleep more soundly?? What a great way to start of the new school year!

🐨 Surprise Visitor Alert! 🏡

This young male koala made an unexpected entrance through a doggy door into a member of the public's (MOP) living room! 😲 Likely dispersing in search of his own habitat, he found himself in unfamiliar territory.

Huge kudos to the quick-thinking MOP who handled the situation perfectly! 🙌 They:

Locked their dog away immediately 🐶🚪
Called our 24/7 Hotline straight away 📞
Kept a safe distance and didn’t approach the koala 👀
Ensured the room stayed quiet and dark to minimise stress 🌙🤫

Thanks to their actions, our volunteers were able to safely rescue this little adventurer and will look for a more suitable environment once he's been cleared💚

A movie making Monday has dawned here in the Kingdom with Sony Pictures, along with PR productions filming a Hollywood movie here on our doorstep!

🎬 They will be using the Eastern half of the Purling Brook Circuit from Monday to Wednesday to do their thing. The Western lookout might give us some view of what they are up to and will be open to the public. Let's see how the rain affects their activities!

🌧 Speaking of rain, there was 34mm in the gauge overnight, taking usvto nearly 200mm for the first two weeks of the year. Not bad considering we aren't in an official La Nina period! That should be the last of the heavy rain if the predictors are right. Just showers from -6mm for the rest of the week now!

⚠️ The roads are wet and slippery, and with the stop goes still on the front road, allow some extra time to make your appointments down the hill today!

🍽🥂 Ladies Lunch is on Friday, 12pm at Dancing Waters Cafe. All local and Valley ladies are invited. Dress up a little and come and catch up on all the goss!

🛍 The Springbrook Mountain Markets are going to be on the Australia Day weekend, Sunday, January 26th, at the Fudge Shop Meadow. Book your stall through Java and come and enjoy a great day out right here on the hill!

🏋‍♀️ Exercise Group, today, Wed and Fri! Come and work out and get fit. Move at your level and enjoy the company and encouragement of other Springbrookians!

🧘‍♀️ Yoga, 6pm at the hall tonight! Bring your own mat. $20. Just turn up and chat to Rachel!

📚 The Mobile Library will be in Numinbah next week. Great holiday activity that coasts nothing and is interesting. Combine it with a play and swim at Bochow Park and maybe a walk to Natural Bridge!

🧵🪡 Craft Group on Wednesdays is starting up again! 10am to 12pm at a Forestry Rd Cafe. Byo craft and enjoy a chat, cake n coffee while you craft away!

🛠 Our Men's Shed is open Tues Thurs and Fri from 9am to 1.30am is for local blokes to garden, potter, chat, work on projects or just get out of the house. Just turn up if you haven't been before!
