Another fantastic day in Sri Lanka! After leaving Habarana, we explored a spice garden and discovered the rich flavours of local spices. Next, we headed to Kandy, the island's last royal capital, where we were captivated by a vibrant cultural show and visited the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Today was truly magical! We started with an early morning hike up Sigiriya Rock, then explored the ancient town of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site and former capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th centuries. After an amazing lunch, we headed out on a thrilling Jeep safari in Minneriya National Park🐘

"An unforgettable first day on our tour! We started at the Pinnawalla Elephant Orphanage, where we were mesmerised by the elephants’ joyful river bath before having the incredible experience of feeding them. Then, it was off for a delicious lunch, followed a walk up to Rangira Dambulla Cave Temple to check out this amazing 5 Cave Monastery. The stairs and the walk were definitely worth it for the view of the valley as well as these amazing caves.

Just arrived in Sri Lanka! After a late-night arrival, we kicked off our adventure with a Tuk Tuk ride into Negombo this morning. Explored the vibrant local markets and took a scenic drive before our Tuk Tuk broke down—adventure already! Caught another Tuk Tuk back and spent a relaxing afternoon by the pool, squeezing in a bit of work too. Loving the start of this journey!
