While popular for some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world, Tahiti also has other beautiful natural destinations definitely worth visiting.

Tahiti’s lush interior is home to several breathtaking waterfalls, like the Faarumai Waterfalls.

🚗 Rent a car to enjoy sightseeing at your own pace. I can help make arrangements for you and come up with an itinerary of spots to see, like Faarumai and other hidden gems. 👀

💵 Cash is the way to go. While major hotels accept card payments, cash is still the best way to pay for other local expenses—especially when shopping in places like the Papeete market.

👗 Dress comfy and casual. For impromptu hikes and seaside exploration, dress in easy dry clothes and your comfy sandals or flip-flops.

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas doesn’t just take you on Alaskan adventures—you also have access to thrilling onboard activities such as the FlowRider and RipCord by iFLY’s skydiving simulator. See that tube right there? You can find out what it’s like to skydive in it! 😱

Feeling peckish? The stylish Mosaic Cafe aboard the Azamara Pursuit is open from 7 AM to 2 AM—perfect for late night snacking. 😉 This coffee corner is a great choice for light bites before your head out for the day or a quick little nibble for sleepless nights.

This is just one of the Pursuit’s many dining spots (it has 7 total!) and I’ll be posting more from my gallery soon, so keep an eye out!

Take home a bit of Tahiti! When you’re there, learn about or purchase these beautiful, handmade appliqué quilts, a Polynesian tradition passed down through generations. There are places which offer workshops, or simply ready to purchase tifaifai that you can use in your home.

These bedspreads are a prominent part of the Polynesian culture and are given as gifts for special occasions like weddings and births. So there you have it—not only will you support local artisans, if you bring these home as a gift, it becomes such a thoughtful and meaningful piece too. 🥰

Every time I see these photos in my gallery, I can’t help but remember the feeling of awe and wonder that we were able to witness these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

This is just one of the many reasons why Alaska is a must-visit destination especially for nature lovers. The raw beauty, contrasting visuals (icy peaks and verdant mountains!), and priceless moments with wildlife are just so amazing.

I suggest bringing a pair of binoculars, and if you have a great camera? That too, for sure! You’ll have a wonderful time spotting wildlife and the photos you’ll take home are sure to be special.

Trust me when I say Vietnam is for the foodies!

The market is bustling with life and it was so tempting to try all of the fruits and colourful food locals prepare right in front of you.

Vibrant dragon fruit, fragrant herbs, and the freshest seafood you’ve ever seen—it’s a feast for the senses! I loved weaving through the stalls, chatting with local vendors, and tasting everything from juicy mango to crispy banh mi.

Fast forward a few hours, and I’m back on the ship, where the day’s market finds have inspired the chef’s menu. There’s nothing like experiencing Vietnam through its food, both onshore and onboard!

✨ My pro tip: If you’re planning to visit the local markets, bring small notes in Vietnamese dong—many vendors don’t accept large bills or cards!
