HypnoBirthing - The Mongan Method has been around long before any other program and is applicable to every woman in every country and is suited for every woman in every country. In a nutshell, Our Philosphy of Birth includes:
-> Birth is a NATURAL, NORMAL and HEALTHY human experience. Their bodies are NOT flawed and destined to malfunction.
->Healthy women should be spared fear-provoking and inti
midating discussions of abnormalities and dangers in the absence of any medical indication of such.
->Birth should be allowed to naturally unfold in its own time, without interruption
-> Pregnant couples should be encouraged to ask questions and express their wishes or concerns. They deserve to receive answers from their care providers that ENHANCE their CONFIDENCE and ESTEEM as parents. **Threats, sarcasm or intimidation have NO PLACE in a nurturing care provider-family relationship.
-> Evidence shows that preborn and newborn babies are cognitive,sensitive and feeling human beings who are participants in pregnancy and birth. **Caregivers should make every effort to accomodate their need for safety and comfort. They should respect the importance of the parent-baby relationship.
-> Care during birthing should be based solely on the wellbeing and needs of the mother and baby; not upon the time constraints or needs of caregivers or facility administration.
-> "routine", non-evidence based procedures, testing and drugs should be avoided during the pregnancies and birthings of healthy women, unless there is an actual, specific and scientific indication that it is truly required, not just desired.
->Women's bodies and, in particular, their vaginas, are a sacrosanct (sacred, not to be violated, criticized or tampered with) especially during pregnancy and birth. Routine and unnecessary prodding and manipulation should be avoided in the absence of a true medical emergancy. WHO AM I? I am a mother to six children (one no longer graces us on Earth). I am also a licenced Hypnotherapist, birth educator (trained in using Robozo Techniques), child educator and parenting consultant and baby sign educator. I am in the process of becoming a certified Dunstan Baby Language educator as well. I first discovered Hypnobirthing in my second pregnancy, 13 years ago... and have used it in every labour since! I feel in absolute control, utterly empowered and I am always so excited for every labour and birth. I wish every women has the opportunity to have such delightful and exquisite labour memories as I do. I am extremely passionate about pregnancy, labour/birth, babies and parenting.
