This little gal is special! We lost her big sister to a tragic accident only a few months ago and when her young mum Lonesome Belle delivered another heifer we were so happy. This little super cutie is sired by the big bold black and white Dickinson Cattle Co bull Spokesman. Lonesome Belle is sired by Cut 'N Dried another great USA Dickinson bull.

We decided to resurface the floor of the Leahton Park venue a couple of days.....yep the morning before the big storm⛈️⚡ It sure was timely because the rain we received really set the floor beautifully. Joe Davis did a great job👍

Well you've probably all heard about the wild storm that hit Charters Towers yesterday afternoon. It sure didn't miss us here on the hill at with a lot of wind and hail💨 ⛈️⚡The rain was welcome but the trees down everywhere weren't😯😡 We had all the grandkids home yesterday so the boys became part of the Sunday morning clean-up team....and did a great job too👍

We still have a lot of work ahead of us but at least there was no building damage. Our thoughts go out to anyone who suffered house or other structural damage during the storm.

Even though she wouldn't break any tip to tip records, Drag Queen has a huge set of horns and definitely a 'different' shape. She is sired by Dash For Cash & out of a Drag Iron cow. Her brand new baby bull calf is sired by Dickinson Cattle Co bull Cut 'N Dried.

Julee Jane with calf number 🔟 Another brand new heifer sired by US bull Cut 'N Dried. Julee Jane has now given us 8 heifers and 2 bulls! This is undoubtedly our most productive cow and she seems to just get better with age and we are proud to say that Julee Jane's genetics are well distributed throughout Australia. At the recent Texas Longhorn Muster she was well represented including a daughter, a grand daughter from the D 7 Spur Texas Longhorns herd and the iconic beautiful twisted horn steer Monty from the Milman Texas Longhorns herd. Monty is sired by HBL Punter who was herd sire at Brigalow Texas Longhorns & Braford Stud for several years. We are very proud of this cow and we look forward to many more years of calves from her🤠

The 2024 North Queensland Tourism and Events Awards are over for another year and what a night it was! Even though we had to 'sit this one out' due to having won our category three years in a row and subsequently being elevated to NQ Tourism Hall of Fame it was great to have the team together and help all the other nominees and winners celebrate 🎉 🥂

Congratulations to our friends at Charters Towers Tourist Park for winning their category, well done Raylee & Brad - you guys deserve the accolades! Another winner from the Charters Towers region was the Herveys Range Heritage Tea Rooms, well done team! Congratulations to all the winners and nominees, you are all doing the region proud!

Thanks to Townsville Enterprise for putting on such a wonderful event and to the venue host Queensland Museum Tropics ...we are looking forward to going back to have a good look at the many displays. Thanks also to Glenn Minty Mintern for your work on the mic mate🎤

We'd like to sincerely thank Zeta & Jess - we couldn't ask for a better team🙏 and were glad to have Robbie and Luke along as well. To keep it in the family, we want to thank our daughter Caitlin for joining us....you are great company and definitely helped with the drinking duties❤️🍹 Charters Towers was also represented by councillor Kim Farmer and Sue along with councillor Julie Mathews .

It's always an honour to represent Charters Towers at these awards and we look forward to 2025!

It's that day of the week again.....yep it's Watusi Wednesday! This is Jay Dee, an F1 Ankole Watusi sired by Judd's JD and her second calf, a brand new baby gal, sired by Titan Wolf. They don't get much more colourful than this little one🌈
