Then yesterday! What a lovely surprise visit from Naarah who recently won the NAIDOC national young performer of the year. She is now performing on the West End in London...amazing person.
Also Tina from Derwent Valley Railway came to collect the new Tiger Track stamp!

I drove from Hobart to Launceston today and then home again.
I drove through thick thick fog, blinding sunlight, more fog and more blinding sunlight.
It was spectacular.
During the entire journey, more than ever, I noticed so many wonderful trees; not just the iconic
Midland Highway conifers, but others with waving branches and gesturing leaves.
And not just those trees close to the highway but others mid-range and then others far off in the distance.
Of course I thought they were all calling out, “Draw me! Draw me!”

Dialogue Exhibition is on at Social Gallery Salamanca (near Wooby Lane) daily from 10 - 4pm.
It is a combined exhibition between Hunter Island Press printmakers and ceramicists from the Tas Ceramics Association. I'll be there tomorrow from 1pm (Sat 11th). Here are my four lithographs.

Great news for Tiger Track stamp fans. Three new stamps are on order for Cradle Mountain! Two are for the Wilderness Gallery and a fresh replacement stamp for the Cradle Mountain Hotel. Stay tuned.

It's happened again! A Tiger Track stamp magnet has travelled. This time it was the Hobart Town Hall magnet spotted in New Zealand! The Tiger Track stamps phenomenon is definitely roaming.

Reminder to come and get your paper and information sheet tomorrow April 21st between 2-4.30pm at James Austins Cottage.
Exciting opportunity for young Tasmanian artists 15 years or under. I have been asked to send 10 artworks to Japan for an International Children's Festival promoting cultural exchange, peace and goodwill between children from all over the world.
If you would like to be involved in this project and have your work exhibited in Toyama Japan then come to James Austin's Cottage in Austins Ferry Tasmania to collect your paper (I will provide the paper} and to get the information sheet. You can come tomorrow April 21st between 2pm and 4.30. If you are unable to come to Austins Ferry let me know and we can discuss other options. The first ten completed works submitted will be selected.
Exciting!
The works selected will not be returned but you will receive some wonderful gifts from the organisers.

Ever since I started Tiger Track Stamps the search was on for the perfect stamp collecting booklet...right size, right price, unlined paper and, importantly, nice smooth paper. I have had to resort to having booklets specially made but I recently saw some potentially suitable booklets and they arrived today. Woohoo! They are perfect! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need to add the Tiger Track sticker.

Occasionally Aster Leonie goes missing. I know she is in the house somewhere but I have never been able to find her secret spot until today! She is under the cover and you can just make out a slight bulge. I don't know how she gets in there without disturbing the covers. Neat little thing.

At James Austins Cottage next Sunday February 11th we'll have a special Tiger Track stamps day! How exciting!
There will be LOTS of stamps including the elusive thylacine stamp AND the female thylacine with her cub!
There will be plenty of free fridge magnets and collection pouches at a reduced price.
And you get to enjoy the lovely cottage which is the oldest cottage of its type in Australia!

I love Tasmania. The natural beauty constantly feeds my spirit and I am so grateful to be able to live here.
However, sometimes I feel so ashamed to call Tasmania my home when I hear of cruelty, violence and racism.
I feel such deep deep shame about the death of Deepinderjeet Singh.
My heart goes out to his family and friends and to the Indian community in Tasmania.
I want to offer my deep condolences and expression of regret that this dreadful cruelty occurred here.
I want to apologise and I hope I apologise on behalf of all Tasmanians. I am so sorry.
Let’s all work together to make Tasmania the safest, most respectful and welcoming place in the world.

There has been a lot of Tiger Track stamps action recently. I have just finished the stamps for the Central Highlands Bushfest on 25th - 26th November in Bothwell Tasmania. There will be 5 stamps to collect and a bonus specially designed fridge magnet for anyone who collects all the stamps. Here's a sneak preview.

News on the "Escapee" and another new stamp: The Escapee Tiger Track stamp has arrived in Queensland so for all those keen stamp collectors out there you will need to go to Mt Larcom Tourist park to get this one. It is in Balfour St, Mount Larcom just south of Rockhampton. Let me know if anyone finds it. On Monday I'll deliver a new stamp for the Old Woolstore Hotel in Macquarie Street, Hobart. Happy stamping!

I mentioned a while ago that I'd have news of a Tiger Track stamp escapee. Well...it's happened! Yes, a Tiger Track stamp has flown north and will arrive shortly in ...Queensland! This is still an exclusive Tasmanian activity except for 1 in ###xland and 1 in Japan. I'll divulge information about the location once the escapee has landed.
