Clontarf Beach State High School is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of its new 'Clontarf Beach Cafe', a student-led initiative designed to provide hands-on learning for students enrolled in the Certificate II in Hospitality program.

The café will open as a fully functional business, giving students the opportunity to apply the skills they have learned in the classroom. From food preparation and barista training to customer service, students will gain experience in every aspect of running a café.

Set to open soon, this vibrant café will not only serve staff and students but the local community. It will also offer students invaluable real- world experience in the hospitality industry!!

🏊 Clontarf Beach State High School Swimming Carnival 🏊
Get ready for one of the biggest and most exciting events of the year! Our Interhouse Swimming Carnival is happening on Tuesday, Week 3 (11th February) at Redcliffe Memorial Pool, 50 Sydney Street, Redcliffe.
This is a whole-school event, and all students are encouraged to participate—whether you're a serious competitor or just in it for fun!
🏆 Two Categories:
Regional Qualifier Races – For those competing to achieve regional qualifying times in 50m events.
House Championship Races – 25m events in all strokes that count towards age champions and house points.
💥 Every event earns points for your house! Plus, there will be:
🎭 House War Cry competition
🛶 Novelty events like Noodle Relays, Rowboat Races & Sinky Toy Fetch
📸 Year 12 group photo at midday
🎶 Music, dancing, and an epic school spirit celebration!
🚨 Important Info:
📍 Students must arrange their own transport to and from the pool.
🎟 Attendance is compulsory – this is a normal school day.
👕 Dress in house colours & wear sun-safe clothing!
🍔 Tuckshop available, bring a water bottle and snacks.

The CBSHS Welding Club meets on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, offering Year 10-12 students the opportunity to learn steel fabrication and welding techniques.

Led by Mr. Kettle, students will gain valuable hands-on experience in a practical, skill-building environment.

This club is open to all senior students and staff, whether they’re just starting or looking to build on existing knowledge. It’s a great way to develop skills that can be useful for future careers or hobbies. Encourage your student to join and explore the world of welding!
