Our final group from LEO has been busy spreading kindness and creativity by painting rocks. Rocks have hidden from the Settlement Cove Carpark along to the lagoon! The students did an amazing job, and we can't wait for the community to enjoy the treasure hunt as they search for these colourful creations.

A big thank you to Bunnings Rothwell for generously donating the rocks for us to paint! Keep an eye out for these little tokens of kindness around the Lagoon and beachfront —you never know what joy you might discover! Let us know if you find any of our rocks!

A big shoutout to the amazing students from LEO who chose to make a difference by participating in a community beach clean up as part of their RESPECT Project!

Together, they collected rubbish along Clontarf Beach, Bells Beach, and Pelican Park, preventing it from ending up in the bay and posing a risk to our precious marine life.

A special mention goes to Ethan Cramb, who collected the most rubbish in the group.

Thank you to everyone involved for showing that small actions can make a big impact. Let’s continue to keep our beaches clean and protect our environment!

This winter season during interschool sport, the Clontarf open boys rugby team brought their A-game to Talobilla Park, Kippa-Ring, delivering an impressive season filled with determination and grit.

With a series of remarkable performances, the team showcased their talent and teamwork, earning a spot in the finals.

Throughout the season, Clontarf dominated the field, securing victories in the majority of their matches. Their hard work and dedication paid off as they advanced to the finals, facing off against Redcliffe in a highly anticipated match for first place.

Despite their best efforts, Clontarf fell short in the final game, with Redcliffe clinching the win and taking the series title. However, the boys can hold their heads high, knowing they played with heart and gave it their all throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud of the team's achievements and the sportsmanship they displayed on and off the field. Clontarf’s journey this winter season during interschool sport was nothing short of inspiring, and we look forward to seeing what they accomplish in the seasons to come.

A special mention to Darcy Woods for taking out Clontarf’s player of the match!

On Tuesday, our students took part in several RESPECT projects around the school and local community. One group from LEO attended Ozcare Ozanam to connect with residents. The students sat with residents and chatted, played card games and balloon tennis over morning tea.

Chats, laughs and advice were exchanged and we are looking forward to attending again next week. Thanks Ozcare for accommodating us.

Earlier this month students from Clontarf Beach SHS competed in the interschool sport finals gala day.

The aim of the activity was to provide students with the opportunity to be crowned south district champions for the interschool sport competition that they have been playing each Wednesday (P4) as a part of interschool sport.

Clontarf found themselves at the top of the ladder after the pool matches with the following results:

Clontarf vs Redcliffe 3-1
Clontarf vs Morayfield 0-1
Clontarf vs Grace Caboolture 2-0

This secured a spot in the grand final against Redcliffe where unfortunately we fell just short and finished runners up for the season.

Regardless of the result it was an awesome way to finish the season, and all involved represented the mighty Clontarf sharks very well.

Looking forward to next season already!

Today a number of science classes across year levels had the opportunity to get up close with some marine creatures as Ocean Life Education visited the school.

Some of the favourites were the sea urchin and the Epaulette shark.

Thanks to Richard for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the marine environment with our students.
