'We ventured into the Northern Territory and set up camp at Ayers Rock Camp ground where we were treated to a rare and beautiful display of Ulurus changing colors, thanks to some unexpected rain.

Coober Pedy, an amazing town that left us in awe. Our accommodation at Coober Pedy Views provided the perfect vantage point to take in the sights and sounds of this unique place.

Well a different morning than what we were initially anticipating when trip planning.

We had booked a sunrise segway tour to see Uluru. Ironically the rain came and changed our plans slightly. We still did sunrise tour, just no segways.

To say Uluru is a magical place us an understatement, add to that we were fortunate enough to see this monumental rock with water cascading down it and replenishing the natural watercourses. The smell of the bush with fresh rain and walking the base hearing and seeing waterfalls .... breathtaking.

Girls enjoying sunset as close as they can get to Uluru.

This just pulled into servo where we were having a few bevvies around at the Tavern at Erldunda, 133 bales on board, heading to Barkley tablelands, load 4 of 7. Only country crew go out and take photos of hay on road trains and chat to the driver 🤣

Made it into the NT, BabyBelle not so sure about crossing the border though.

Wow, what a start to our journey. Helen and I had been doing the debate on which of our vehicles we would take towing the Golf Savannah. We had always planned on getting both of our vehicles weighed with the caravan on and basically the one that gave us the most amount of capacity would go.
Last Sunday we had Cameron and Angela from The Travelling Weigh check our weights.
Well Tilly the Triton creamed it - we were stoked to get high 5's from Cam and high praise as we were under weight and the car and van were balanced - which basically ment the wine could go in 🍷🥂 🤣

To make our pre-departure a bit more tricky, Helen found her ideal Landcruiser so a week out from leaving, traded her Pajero Sport and picked up the new/secondhand cruiser. Huge thank you to Margaret River Auto Electrics for getting Graphy's towing system and UHF installed ready for our trip.

Cam was amazing and quickly found a spot for us to weigh the cruiser and work out our weights on Graphy and Golf (now known as GG) to see how we faired. Slight tweak and we were all set.

Today was the official start to our trip, half lap of OZ.
I had attend an upgrade to my Dressage Stewarding this morning at the SEC for Para Stewarding. We had headed up to Perth Saturday afternoon for a early start this morning.
Fabulous morning with my fellow L2 Dressage Stewards, lovely Para riders and thier super horses.

We then headed to our first official stop, Wave Rock Caravan Park, Hyden. The caravan park is right at the base of the rock so a very quick walk with the dog this afternoon to go and see it.
Tomorrow morning we will do Hippo's Yawn and get some nice photos to share.

Fantastic little park, great amenities but bring the mozzie spray.
Huge thanks to mum as she sent a fabulous casserole off with us for dinner tonight which was soo good.

Dooggo's have travelled so well the girls settling into caravan life with ease.

Next stop will be down to Esperance.
