Shorebirds like the threatened hooded plover, pied oystercatchers and red capped plovers are nesting on the island again. 🪺
Hooded plovers make their nest on a sand shelf, giving it a better chance of evading the high tides – one of the factors affecting the number of fledglings each year.

Lovely morning at Wild Food Farm & Cafe, Phillip Island, Victoria sitting outside by the pond and waterfall. Most delicious Warragul greens along with lemon myrtle damper and native lime marmalade. Will definitely be back for more damper.
