He started his working life as a window dresser for a large department store in Christchurch which quickly led to a leading position maintaining, designing and building floats for their annual Christmas parade. He then went on to gain extensive experience in the fibreglass industry with work for car detailers and Awesome Boats International as a pattern maker, designer and mould maker. His own fib

re-glassing business followed, specialising in garden features and 3D promotional products. Since emigrating to Australia, Clayton’s skills have been highly sought after and he has completed design and construction work for the Melbourne Film Studios prop department and The Store Planning Company. Now based in Clunes Victoria, his skills have been utilised to attract tourists to the town. He has designed and constructed streetscapes within the Lee Medlyn Bottle Museum to house their extensive collection. His display work was also featured in the Creswick School of Forestry’s 150 years Celebration. Other clients have hired him to produce promotional products
