I wanted to have a liitle chat about why I started Mumpack Trips and the unexpected loneliness and feelings of being left out when you're a solo mum and it's school holidays. I found that when friends organised group holidays they were only for mum and dad families, and I know it's not a conscious thing, but it can be a little hurtful and made me worry for Em missing out on these experiences. It's one of the reasons why we went travelling, and it's something that I know still happens to solo mums.
On my trips you get that experience of a group family trip! A group holiday with mums and kids where you can relax as it's all organised for you; you can make friends and the kids make friends, and you explore a new country and it's food, language, culture and landscape. It's such a beautiful feeling to be part of something 🩷

We have so much fun on my mum and teen daughter trips 🩷🌴✨ and the leather making class here at blue Lotus is the best fun. The workshop is really beautiful - check out the koi pond - and everyone's really helpful and friendly. You choose your leather, the type of bag or wallet you want to make and then you get help to make it. It's really fun. We loved it and it's really nice for mum and daughters to share this kind of activity and make this special memory together 🩷
