Hi all 😊

For anyone whose stayed with us before, you'll know that Armoin is a passion project, not a money maker. The money we make from the rodeo weekend allows the campground to continue running for the rest of the year.

The Boddington Rodeo is held on the 1st weekend of November each year and council can't provide enough camping in town to host everyone.

So our humble 10 bay nature based park flings open the doors for the weekend hosting hundreds of campers.

I'm on the search for some friendly volunteers for the 1st and 2nd of November to help with check-ins and showing people to bays.

Offering - free camping, being fed and watered all weekend plus being a part of our awesome crew and some good karma your way 😊

Volunteer hours - are from Friday midday - 8pm & Saturday from 8.30am - midday. This will allow volunteers to still be able to attend the main rodeo event if they wish!

What we are looking for - friendly, happy people that can ride a push bike (we have electric assisted push bikes to show people where to park)

Please PM us or let me know below if you are interested...

Armoin update - we are staying open with a slightly different business structure for now! Grab a cuppa β˜•οΈ and read below for more detail :)

In the last few weeks on some of the local camping pages I asked campers their opinions on how I would be best to operate the facility going forward. As most of you know, Armoin has always been a labour of love by myself, its caretakers and helpers, its more than just a business... it is where people have put their heart and soul into creating a special place and experience for everyone.

Lately I've been facing some challenges as there has been a wave of last minute cancellations, changes to bookings, rising costs and other unexpected hurdles that have been making it difficult to keep the place running.

So after much thought I have decided to run the park going forward for:
1. Group bookings which book out the whole park.
2. Event weekends like I have in the past for ladies, family and pet weekends etc.
3. Long weekends with a capped weekend price.

For group bookings anyone can book the entire park out for the weekend for $500, this will include up to 20 adults staying and free access toilet use. Showers will still be on a charge per minute basis.

All event/long weekends will be advertised on the Armoin page.

This will effectively mean that individual bookings will now close. In saying this... I have had one couple book out the park for a weekend to themselves for some peace and quiet πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

I am going to update the website over the next few weeks to allow for all bookings to be placed directly there... I am wanting to have an easy to use calendar so you can see availability and it should link you directly to a payment portal. I'm hoping this will be a much more efficient going forward than the current process.

I know this might not be ideal for everyone, but with the other option to close permanently (which I don't think anyone wanted... myself included!), I truly appreciate your understanding as I try and navigate this. I suspect when I stop working away full time (retirement please?) I will open up the park again fully as I will be back home. Thank you all for the individual private messages and comments on the posts, your continued support and understanding!

Looking forward to seeing you at the park soon, Sarah.
