Heavy rain breaching our dam - Fig Tree Retro Studio

With the ongoing deluge of rain currently hitting the Northern Rivers, the dam on our property has breached, flowing into our neighbours paddock. Heavy rain like this tend to flood the bridge coming to our property, thus cutting us off. Mother Nature at her best! This is Emie, one of our Huacaya breed alpacas. This video is from last summer when Emie and Billy, her brother, got their wool sheared to ready them for the upcoming heat. They also got their nails clipped and teeth groomed. Emie was a star and didn't utter a peep; Billy, on the other hand, cried like a baby! They were in good hands though! Gerard, the shearer, has been in the shearing business for 30 years...wow! You can see both of them grazing from the deck when you stay at the studio. Denise x
