Early barn clean this morning, gearing up for a busy few days! Final touches are coming together for next week’s wedding, including a trip to a local flower farm ( such a chore that one but someone has to do it 😁 🌸💮🏵️) .

Also prepping the stockyard as our gorgeous calves get ready to head off to their new forever homes—a bittersweet moment, but part of farm life. We can’t keep them all, but we know they’re off to good homes!

Our latest guests not only left with lots of happy memories but also left us with a wonderful surprise! They baked us a delicious frittata, and Evie created a stunning Highlander head. How gorgeous is that? Thank you, Evie and Jess—it was such a pleasure meeting you both!

Looking for a great day out ☺️ head to the Taste of the Huon this weekend 😋

🎉 Who's heading to the Taste of the Huon Festival this weekend?! 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

From humble beginnings, this festival has grown into a true celebration of the very best of our local produce, talents, and community spirit. 🍔🍎🍷 And we can't wait to try all the delicious food and drinks! 😋

The Huon Valley Council is incredibly proud to support this event – not just as a financial sponsor, but also through contributions from our dedicated staff, including the loan of equipment, assistance with the grounds, and permits. 👏

Can't wait to see you there!

Another week—and another month—almost gone. Time seems to fly by so quickly. Is it just getting older, or are we always too busy to notice? Sometimes, we need to pause, breathe in the fresh air, and take in the simple beauty around us. Like these apples ripening in the late summer sun—a reminder that nature moves at its own pace. Slow down, soak it in, and enjoy the moment ❤️

An afternoon well spent in the orchard, pruning and tidying up as we get ready for a wedding next month. The apple trees are heavy with fruit, and we’re making sure everything is just right—a dreamy, romantic corner nestled among the trees, ready for a special celebration.

Country living on an orchard

Nestled between the rolling hills of the Huon valley you will find Eden Farm on the outskirts of Cygnet. Our 40 acre farm is a comfortable country hideaway for families, couples or small groups - accommodating up to 14 people.

The farm, originally used for only the apple production, is now a lovely blend of fresh produce, orchards and paddocks with a variety of friendly farm animals. Eden Farmstay offers guests the chance to get up close and personal with the animals on our daily feeding tours in the late afternoons.

At Eden Farm we make our own raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, great artisan cider and hand made goat soap which is available at our reception where you can also get advice about the many attractions on offer in the South of Tasmania.

Guests will spot many native animals while strolling over the farm and might even glimpse our resident platypus in one of our dams. The farm is all about relaxing, getting back to nature and reconnecting with your family. Wake up to the fresh country air of Tasmania, it is country living at it`s best.
