Before I left my previous company to go independent, I had the pleasure of planning an epic long-service holiday for a truly wonderful couple. At the time, I transitioned out of my store position while they were away, so I never got to hear how their adventure unfolded.

Fast forward over six years, and to my surprise and delight, they tracked me down to share a heartfelt thank-you message. They told me how incredible their holiday was and shared that they’ll be reaching out to me for their next adventure.

Last month on my Viking cruise, I had the absolute pleasure of indulging in a culinary journey that felt like pure decadence. With over five bars and restaurants to choose from (not to mention the convenience of room service), every meal was an adventure in flavor, offering tastes from around the globe.

I was fortunate enough to dine at both of the ship's specialty restaurants during my time on board. The Chef’s Table delivered a stunning five-course menu inspired by South Korean cuisine—every bite was a revelation, bursting with flavor and leaving me utterly satisfied. At Manfredi’s Italian Restaurant, the meals were so exquisite that I was too captivated to pause for photos. Each dish was a masterpiece, and every taste lingered long after the meal ended.

Evenings were made even more magical with cocktails in hand, enjoying the serene beauty of the sea as it glided by. The live music added a charming soundtrack to these moments, making them truly unforgettable.

The dining and ambiance aboard this Viking cruise weren’t just meals—they were experiences to savor, celebrate, and remember.

In December, I had the incredible privilege of stepping aboard the Viking Venus for a five-day segment of their Komodo and Australian Coast itinerary (Bali to Sydney, or in reverse). Joining the ship in Darwin, I was instantly immersed in a world of refined luxury and unparalleled service.

Every moment felt like a retreat into pure bliss.
