Our Story

CITY OF DARWIN CRUISES SEEKING WILDLIFE UNDER SAIL ON DARWIN HARBOUR • We are a small family business – Darwin’s different and unique upmarket sunset or daytime sailing experience for sunset dinner, city lights cruise, private or exclusive charter • Smaller numbers, very personal and relaxing, freely chat to the skipper and crew or enjoy our interpretive material about Darwin’s history, ecology and environment • Marvel at a wide variety of wildlife you may see including dugong, dolphins, and birds; check out a croc trap – products eco certified with Ecotourism Australia • New sailing Seawind 1160 Resort catamaran – reduced carbon footprint under sail and providing a great platform for wildlife viewing • Unique corporate team building daytime lunch sail- groups are split into teams on up to 2 yachts – land based activities can also be offered • Great party venue on our charter vessels, Kuru Luxury with a max 43 people, great layout and affordable Cherry Pie a large vessel with a max of 21 people. With large numbers we can raft the together for a great 30 m wide floating platform OUR PRODUCTS Our small family business offers a different and unique sunset or daytime experience by using sailing catamarans that reduce our carbon footprint under sail as well as providing a great platform for wildlife viewing. We undertake a completely different harbour journey to other operators so every cruise provides a different harbor and wildlife experience. Our cruises are up market having smaller numbers, being very personal and relaxing where clients can freely chat to the skipper and crew or enjoy our interpretive material about Darwin’s history, ecology and environment. Our vessels provide plenty of shade, cushioned comfortable seating, or a completely relaxing experience on the trampoline. Sailing allows us to always be on the lookout for a variety of harbour wild life including the rare snub fin dolphin, bottle-nose dolphins and sea birds. Be a part of looking and identifying wildlife for our harbor wildlife-recording project. We leave Cullen Bay Marina for the harbor to sail and relax with a glass of red or white wine or a mid strength beer or a cool drink, while enjoying our Kuru anti Pasto platter. You can even byo alcohol. On our return to the harbour clients will have a relaxing sail while a bbq dinner is prepared for dinner clients and everyone gets ready to witness the magical Darwin sunset (every month we also have a magnificent moonrise from the other side of the Harbour). On our return to Cullen Bay clients will be able to view the city lights and our crew can point out interesting planets and constellations visible in the night sky. Our cruises are an unique Darwin Harbour sailing and wildlife experience and our products are eco certified with Ecotourism Australia. MENU antipasto platter (selection of Cheeses, kabana, dip, biscuits, sundried tomatoes, carrot and celery sticks, olives, dried fruit, nuts), BBQ Meal: bbq of beef satay, chicken satay (Marinated in an Asian style), cooked tiger prawns, barra (if not available we do a small portion of local fish) potatoe salad, green salad accompanied with free red and white wine and mid strength beer.
