Exploring Papua New Guinea
Exploring the Liva River at Lake Murray with Badi, head of the Crocodile Clan.
Here you see Smith perform the original "here fishy, fishy, fishy" by way of an ancient Papuan "fish call" that is still used by the locals when fishing from their dugouts.
Unfortunately for Glen, he used the catfish call and not the black bass call!

A new record has been set!
46 wild barramundi over a meter landed in a single week, 35 of them on surface lures!
One evening saw 14 meteries landed by 5 anglers.
685 barra in total for the trip!
Bensbach River in Papua New Guinea is still the best place on the planet to chase monster barra.
As one of the triumphant anglers said on his return "I would argue there is no better place to fish on Earth!"

Bensbach River Barramundi World Record.
2023 saw a new world record set for the number of wild barramundi over one metre caught in a single week and majority of the fish were caught on huge surface lures!
The video shows why the fish grow so damn big and why they maul surface lures, snakehead are their main food source.
