Stock Distribution and BNB Assistant
Location: Ballarat - Daylesford, VIC, Australia
Are you an organized and reliable individual looking for an independent and flexible role? Daylesford bnb is seeking a Stock Distribution and BNB Assistant to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our properties are well-stocked, presentable, and maintained.
The position is for approx. 8hours each month - (1-1.5 day) and times are flexible.
Responsibilities:
Stock Distribution:
Pick up orders from Ballarat.
Safely drive to Daylesford while ensuring the stock remains intact during transportation.
Distribute stock to 5 designated houses efficiently.
Stock Organization:
Carefully sort and arrange the stock items in the respective houses according to provided guidelines.
Check stock levels
Reporting/Photography:
Take photos (on your phone) of the stocked items, ensuring each item is accurately represented, photograph any cleaning or maintenance issue you are able to identify.
*Opportunities for BNB Photography work may also be available for applicants with suitable equipment and skill.
House Walk-Through:
Conduct a thorough walk-through of each house to assess and identify any cleaning or maintenance issues.
Video document the findings and upload to the management team.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to carry out stock transportation.
Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage stock distribution.
Basic phone technology skills - confidence with use of google keep notes, google meet to video call for any onsite assistance you need from the management team, use of phone video and photo camera, ability to upload video and photos to google drive
Attention to detail for the house walk-through to identify any issues that require attention.
While you will not be required to carry out maintenance or cleaning, you should be able to identify cleaning or maintenance issues.
Effective communication skills to report back to the management team.
Smart Phone with Camera and the ability to add a "work google account " and install the latest versions of Google Meet, Google Keep, Google Maps (with location services on during your time working) and Google Drive, (or Google Photos to upload video/photos)
An Internet connection to upload images can be provided at some of the properties.
Preferred Qualities:
Previous experience in a similar role or the hospitality industry is advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of the Daylesford area and its surroundings.
Great communication and organisation skills
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position, and the working hours will vary depending on the demand, stock orders and vacancy.
Generally it will be 4-8 hours each month, pick up of stock in Ballarat would be approx. ever 2 to 3 months, otherwise collection of a small number of items from Coles Daylesford would be arranged.
Hours are flexible, the vast majority of the role can be performed day or night as may suit you, and on any day of the week when the house is vacant or between 10am and 3pm on change over days.
Advance notice of suitable time slots can be provided and you would be free to split your time across two consecutive days.
Once you have the lay of the land, this task can be accomplished within 6-8 hours or less.
Travel time will be included in your hours with time commencing from when you arrive at your first location and until your final location. All properties are within a few minutes of each other, and properties are within the Daylesford township.
If you are located in Ballarat, we will include allowance for travel 1 way each month. If you are located closer to Daylesford and collect stock from Ballarat an allowance for your round trip will be provided.
(We may also be looking for an assistant to help us onboard new owners and their property. - someone with an interest or skills in customer sales/service and the bnb hospitality industry, to meet with prospective new owners, provide advice prior to signing up and to set up and onboard for us on the ground - all in consultation with our management team. If you also have an interest in this, this short part time role would be great step towards learning more about the industry and bnb setup/property needs)
