There is a lot of smoke around this morning, particularly settling into the surrounding valleys. Please ensure you are staying safe
๐ฅ A bushfire ADVICE is current for people in an area bounded by Mount Frankland Road, Bridge Road, Hazelvale Road, Trent Road, Valley of The Giants Road and Middle Road, and Soho Block and Collis Block to the north and east in parts of BOW BRIDGE, HAZELVALE, NORTH WALPOLE, TINGLEDALE and TRENT in the SHIRES OF DENMARK and MANJIMUP๐ฅ

Please note this fire has been downgraded to Advice and there are changes throughout the alert, including updates to trails and recreation sites.
โ There is no threat to lives or homes.
โ There is a lot of smoke in the area.
โ Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
โ WHAT TO DO โ
If driving:
- Be extremely careful when driving through the area.
- Turn your headlights on and drive slowly.
- Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.
- If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.
- If you have a respiratory condition and you have been affected by smoke you should contact your local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.

A bushfire ALL CLEAR is current for people to the west of the Frankland River, south of Beardmore Road and north of Logging Road, east of Doug Road and Angove Road; and to the east of North Walpole Road, north of Allen Road and Giants Forest Block including sections of Harrison Road, Dingo Flat Road, Twin Creek Road, Ebbett Road, Pascoe Road, South Coast Highway and east of Bandit Road in parts of BOW BRIDGE, HAZELVALE, KENTDALE, NORTH WALPOLE, TINGLEDALE and TRENT in the SHIRES OF DENMARK and MANJIMUP โ

The bushfire is stationary.
It is contained but not controlled.
๐จ WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING ๐จ
Firefighters are continuing to mop up and monitor and patrol the area overnight..

The evacuation centre is now closed.
๐ง ROAD CLOSURES AND CONDITIONS ๐ง
Avoid the area and be aware of fire and emergency services personnel working on site.
A number of roads have been closed including:
- Mount Frankland Road (due to reopen on Sunday, 28 April from 9:00am)
- Caldyanup Road
- Middle Road
- Access to the Valley of the Giants (due to reopen on Sunday, 28 April from 9:00am)
- Boronia Road
- Trent Road
- Collis Road
- Hoots Road
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke. Road information may also be available from Main Roads WA by visiting the Main Roads Travel Map, calling 138 138 or by contacting your Local Government Authority.
๐ฒTRAIL AND RECREATION SITE CLOSURES ๐ฒ
The following trails and recreation sites will reopen on Sunday, 28 April from 9:00am
- The Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk
- Bibbulmun Track between Walpole and Peaceful Bay
- Bibbulmun Track Huts
. Frankland
. Giant
. Rame Head
- Mount Frankland recreation site
The following trails and recreation sites will remain closed:
- The Munda Biddi Trail east of North Walpole Road
- The Munda Biddi Trail Huts:
. The Boona Mundak
. Kwokralup Beela
Cyclists should be aware that there are no diversions in place while these sections of the Munda Biddi track are closed. Stay up to date on trail and site closures at alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au
๐ DRONES AND AERIAL SUPPORT ๐
Never fly a drone, model aircraft or multirotor near bushfires. Doing so poses a major safety risk to firefighting personnel in the air and on the ground, and forces aircraft to be grounded or redirected, hindering firefighting efforts.
