🐟 WILSON INLET DUE TO OPEN NEXT WEEK 🌊

The Shire has been notified that Water Corporation plans to open the Wilson Inlet sandbar in Denmark on Wednesday 25 September between 10am and 12noon.

This decision has been made in consultation with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER), the Shire of Denmark and the City of Albany, due to recent rainfall and is part of a plan to manage potential flooding in the area and environmental values within the inlet.

Precautions will be taken on the day to ensure public safety.

Water Corporation reminds surfers to be mindful of the potential for changeable conditions in the vicinity of the opening, due to the increased exchange of water between Wilson Inlet and the ocean.
