⚠️ Work to repair a leak that caused Thursday’s water outage in Dunsborough continues this weekend. [Update: Saturday 29 June 11:09am] ⚠️
🚦 Caves Rd, between Clubhouse Drive and Seymour Boulevard in Dunsborough, is down to one lane. Traffic management is in place. Please consider an alternative route.
💧 Customers may still experience discoloured water or reduced pressure while the scheme recharges. If you have no water please call 13 13 75.
The leak and subsequent water outage was caused by a long crack along the water pipe. Cracks in pipes are caused by many factors including tree roots, ground conditions, age of the pipe or ground movement.
🚧 The ground around the pipe will be made safe and the pipe will be replaced. We currently don’t have a timeline as to when this will be complete but will continue to update this post as we know more.

⚠️ Water supply for customers across Dunsborough and Eagle Bay is starting to return at a reduced pressure. [Update: Thursday 27 June, 4:37pm]. ⚠️
A bypass has been put in place to temporarily restore water as we attend to a leak in a main near Peron Reserve.
💧 We expect all affected customers to have water this evening, but it will be at a reduced pressure. Where possible we ask customers to avoid running any dishwashers or washing machines during this time.
🚧 Until the emergency repairs are complete, affected customers will continue to have reduced pressure. We are unable to put a timeline on this while the extent of the issue is still being investigated. We will continue to update this post as we know more.
🚦 Excavation will be required to access the leak. This will commence in the morning and will require a closure for part of Caves Road. Traffic management will be in place.
🚰 The water station at the new Dunsborough Lakes Sporting Precinct will be open until 8pm tonight.
You may notice some discolouration as your supply returns – this is perfectly normal and the water is safe to drink. You can find advice to assist with discoloured water here >> https://bit.ly/DiscolouredWater-WC.
Please know our team is working hard to restore full service as quickly as possible. We thank you again for your patience and understanding.
