One of the really fun parts of weddings is catching up with people you know! At Abbey and Corry’s wedding on Saturday there were four other couples there I had married and it’s so nice to say hi (two of these couples are pregnant so very nice to hear about due dates!) Weddings often have guests that I have met through various means; my other jobs, venue owners and look at gorgeous Ellie - who plays as a musician at weddings but whom I have also known since she was a tinny tot as I worked with her Mum. Rachael and Alan have been a breeze to work with and I loved how they crafted today to be exactly as they wanted- an intimate elopement with their kids and two others close to their heart in a place they love. Their AirbB was perfect, overlooking the beach, with no wind and a backdrop fit for a postcard. Moving and down to earth vows (Rachael doing the sweetest vows off the cuff) and what more can you want than to marry your best friend and to be able to say you’ve married someone who is the best Mum/Dad to the kids. This was a very sweet elopement to be part of and my first wedding on the East Coast today. Tasmania is just so beautiful
What a perfect day on the East Coast. Bicheno for an intimate and very sweet elopement (will share in separate post) followed by a wedding with all the fun vibes, the laughter and lots of people having the best time celebrating Abbey and Corry. These two had a relaxed approach but they certainly didn’t lack the attention to details that made it a special ceremony or celebration. Lovely lovely couple to help plan and prepare with and very sweet watching them with their daughter, Sklyer. We may have needed the lollipop supply I always keep on me (they can be a lifesaver!) but then she sat mesmerised through the ceremony! Loved Mayfield Estate Cranbourne East- my first visit there and with an amazing backdrop to enjoy Tassie’s East Coast. Hosts Bruce and Jo are lovely, warm people and were great looking after everything. What a picturesque spot. Loved my day
An elopement with Bride, Groom and seven guests, all from interstate. …. I could happily spend my Fridays this way. This one was pure joy. This sweet couple had the most heartfelt vows, punctuated at just the right times with humour. An idyllic spot for this intimate gathering in The Coachman’s Cottage Garden at one of my all time favs Brickendon Estate.
