Just a short drive along the coast looking back over the Cairns Inlet. Where untouched beaches meet tropical rainforest to the Serenity of by Sea 🌊

Visit the abandoned gun emplacements near Yarrabah that tell the story of Cape False Battery, built to defend Cairns during World War II. Enjoy hiking, relaxing and taking in the views of this quiet location ⭐️

It has been some time since we connected with our guests, as we have been so busy fully renovating our beautiful beach home. As well as handing the reigns over to our lovely manager Tom from Cozie Homes. I wanted to showcase this piece of timber that my husband created. This timber feature bed head is amazing and fits so beautifully in the room. I came up with the concept and he delivered the look I envisioned. It gives the second bedroom that earthy feel. Who else loves natural timber?

Laying across the shallow section at night, looking up at the stars with a glass of wine or taking in the sunshine during the day… There’s nothing quite as relaxing as lounging in our mineral plunge pool.

Friday flashback to this exquisite experience with & at Our Oasis. 🌴

Monday night saw me collaborating with Gabi from for a gorgeous 5 course dinner with friends at at Second Beach. Our personal chef Gabi created a tantalising menu for us to enjoy out on the deck overlooking Trinity Inlet.

Our menu for the evening:
🥖 Fresh bread rolls with truffle butter
🐠 Smoked Barramundi paté on sesame crisps with Davidson Plum caviar
🐡 Hawaiian fish ceviche with Kingfish, pineapple juice, coconut, avocado and coriander
🐑 Lamb croquettes, pear purée and pickled grapes
🦆 Duck breast with duck fat potatoes, charred shallots, walnuts and pomegranate jus
🍫 Beetroot and chocolate lava cake with whipped goats curd, pistachios and berry sorbet.

The standout dish for everyone was the ceviche followed by the duck for me. Each course was better than the next with restaurant quality presentation. The food was so plentiful that some of us even managed a doggy bag for lunch the next day (not this little black duck haha!)

Gabi did all the preparation, set up, cooking and then cleaned up afterwards meaning my friends and I didn't need to lift a finger - except to pour ourselves another glass of wine. Gabi was a dream to deal with, not only professional but super friendly. She was also recently recommended in .australian 👏

Great night had by all and a well earned night off for many of us to catch up over dinner. Thanks for having us Gabi and 😘🥂🍽️🌴
