Echuca’s oldest Church
The Old Wesley,with all its charm, is now opened for you to enjoy with family and friends. This stunning building was erected in 1869 to replace the modest brick chapel that was Echuca’s first place of worship.
The form Wesleyan Church operating under the Uniting Church banner, held its last service in December 1993. In 1996, the Roman Catholic Trusts Corporation bought the building and it later became classrooms for St. Mary’s School. The church was saved from demolition by the community, who recognized its heritage value and the significant role it plays in Echuca’s history.
The Old Wesley has been lovingly restored into a luxurious 5 bedroom, four bathroom home featuring outdoor entertaining area including pool. The original high ceilings, beams and stain glassed windows have been retained for you to admire during your stay.
