Erowal Bay originated as a small fishing village on the shores of St Georges Basin, and still retains its sleepy charm. The Basin is ideal for fishing, kyaking, sailing and recreational watercraft. The boat ramp is only 800 metres from the cottage. Enter Booderee National Park 5 kms away and you are officially in the Australian Capital Territory. The Park is stunning with white beaches, walking trails, diving, and offers free tours and activities for park entry holders during school holidays.
4 kms away are the whitest sands of Hyams Beach offering great swimming in the hotter months, and very scenic walking along the shores all year long. Nearby Vincentia has a BiLo supermarket and Huskisson is the gateway to cafes, restaurants, dolphin and whale watching tours and a very quaint movie theatre. Great tennis courts (6) are located in the same street and can be hired almost anytime outside of competition on Saturdays. This area offers some of the best cycling you will ever experienced.
