I am thrilled to announce that after the great success of our New Zealand cruise earlier this year with my dear friend Veronica Appleyard, we are organising another one, this time to the beautiful South Pacific! We invite you to join us for a 10-night cruise full of unforgettable moments and fun activities.

You can choose to participate in either Fabric Collage or Hand Sewing Workshops (consisting of English Paper Piecing, Traditional Hand Piecing, and Needleturn Applique), or why not try both!

I’m a few days behind and a few days early 🙊 I got a little carried away and was appliquéing my hearts down but I’ve taken a leaf out of some of your books and done a group shot. We had visitors all weekend, it was nice to have the house full of laughter.

Today I visited The Australian Outback Spectacular which was absolutely incredible. I’m so grateful that shows like this are available for us to enjoy. For my international friends, the Australian Outback Spectacular is an Australiana dinner and show featuring Australian animals, songs and bush tucker.

Gratitude Sew-Along Day #72
I’m almost back to my regular schedule, I’m still needing a little nap in the afternoon but I’m starting to feel human again. Before my trip I had prepped all my blocks so I didn’t have to take all my tools with me but I’ve run out of glued jewels so my task this week is to get some more shapes prepped for sewing. I have to say I’m very grateful for my stash of fabric, I’ve been digging deep in my drawers and I’m finding some golden oldies. Todays fabric is an oldie from my friend Amanda Herring.

Today I’m most grateful for my wonderful team. I’ve returned home from my amazing trip and am a little jet-lagged. They knew that I hadn’t started appliquéing my hearts down and have kindly prepared some of my background squares for me. The orchids in Singapore are putting mine at home to shame. It must be the constant humidity that make them so big over here. It’s been so lovely to spend a few days in Singapore after a few weeks of being on my feet, I’m so grateful for the time to take a rest and put my feet us.

The last 2 years have been hard for everyone and being separated from family is so tough. This my friends is the best feeling ever. A surprise visit on Christmas Day when my youngest flys in from London to surprise me. Best Christmas present anyone could ever give. I love you Jarad.
