Even whale sharks get spooked sometimes 😱 A green sea turtle comes up for a breath underneath our whale shark during a swim and it completely spooked her! A unique opportunity for our guests to see the s*x of this whale shark while she flashes her pelvic fins as she rolls over.

Have you ever seen a pregnant stingray? Stingrays, like whalesharks, are ovoviviparous - this means that the mother keeps the eggs inside her body after they hatch, feeding the pups fluids and egg yolks to help them grow. They will then give birth to live young. Baby stingrays are born looking like little burritos all wrapped up in their wings 🥰🌯

This is why it's important to check underneath the coral structures - you never know what's hiding underneath for you to see! More often than not, it schooling fish, stingrays and even white-tip reef sharks, and sometime all three!

Now you see me - now you don't! A whale sharks magic trick! 🎩🪄

(Not to give the trick away, but its hiding behind a bait ball!)
Not a common sight on the Ningaloo, but whale sharks do sometimes feed on large, condensed bait balls of fish if available. This whale shark was feeding on surrounding krill balls and happened upon this bait ball too!
