Today at Falls Creek
Our snowmaking team was hard at work all night with snow guns firing since 6.30pm and were still going this morning! Take a look at the snow cams online!
Main Street is opening for skiing and boarding from tomorrow, with Towers Chairlift making its first spins of the season! Enjoy even more of the mountain thanks to our hard-working snowmaking team topping up the natural snowfalls in resort.

The resort also woke to a stunning sunrise this morning with beautiful clear skies!
Perfect conditions for new skiers / snowboarders being able to get out there and enjoy some laps down Wombat’s Ramble. Cruise along Australia’s longest green run as it takes you back down to Slalom Plaza and Halley's Comet chairlift.

If you’re still getting your snow feet, we recommend starting on Mouse Trap Carpet in our beginner zone opposite the Snowsports School and Cloud 9 restaurant.
To improve you skills, private lessons are available for adults and children and can be booked online via the Falls Creek website.

Mother Nature has delivered 18cm of snow!
The snowfall we’ve been dancing for has arrived, as Mother Nature covered our mountain in 18cm of fresh snow this week! The village is a winter wonderland, and our mountain is coated in white once again.

Our snowmaking crew has been busy making snow this week and there are more great snowmaking conditions in the forecast as temperatures remain low!

The snow season is here! Falls Creek is set to open for skiing and boarding from tomorrow, Saturday 8 June. We're buzzing with excitement for the long weekend and can't wait to celebrate with you all. Join us for a celebratory street party to kick off the 2024 snow season with Connected Circus in the Village Bowl from 11am to 4pm.

The fun continues after dark in the Village Bowl with a spectacular fireworks show to top off a fabulous Saturday in Falls Creek.

From TODAY Bogong High Plains Road will fully reopen in TWO lanes to all traffic after major remediation and prevention works wrapped up following major landslip.

As one of the state’s busiest tourism routes, Bogong High Plains Road connects Victoria’s alpine region to tens of thousands of visitors each year and supports local industries like agriculture and tourism.

The road was closed in the wake of October 2022’s devastating heavy rainfall due to debris from a mammoth slow-moving landslide, above the township of Bogong Village between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek.

It was one of the largest landslips experienced on Victoria’s road network in 40 years – standing 70 meters tall and 100 meters wide, the landslip towered higher than the MCG’s Shane Warne Stand and sprawled wider than an Airbus A380.

The Bogong High Plains Road opened under single lane traffic control ahead of schedule in late April last year, following a huge effort that saw crews work around the clock battling harsh weather conditions.

Since the major weather event, Major Road Projects Victoria have worked closely with East Gippsland based contractor Whelans Group Investments to incrementally excavate and safely remove around 600,000 tonnes of material from the slope.

Thanks to all involved with the hard work to clear out the force of Mother Nature - reminding us how lucky we are to have access to such a beautiful mountain resort, and preserving our access road which will now stay strong for decades to come!!
